1. Overview
LessonGrid is designed for adult educators, homeschool families, tutors, and school leaders. We try to keep the service useful before asking for identity. That means you may be able to browse some lesson data locally before creating an account.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the service, we may collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: email address, password hash, display name, role, grade band, and selected subjects.
- Optional purchase and entitlement information: product identifiers, purchase verification records, transaction identifiers, purchase token hashes, platform, and entitlement status, if paid features are introduced and used.
- Generated content requests: lesson identifiers, generation requests, cached class materials, and related prompt versions used to produce classroom support.
- Sharing information: secure lesson share tokens, signed playback links, and related access metadata.
- Technical information: basic logs needed to run the service, diagnose failures, protect the service, and enforce access rules.
- Website information: standard web server logs such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps.
3. How we use information
- To create and maintain accounts.
- To personalize LessonGrid around selected grades, subjects, and roles.
- To verify optional purchases and enforce access rules if paid features are introduced later.
- To generate class materials and return them securely to the authenticated user.
- To provide exports, secure lesson sharing, and signed video playback.
- To protect the service against abuse, fraud, unauthorized access, and technical failure.
- To comply with legal obligations and maintain business records.
5. Retention
We retain account and access information for as long as needed to operate the service, maintain security, and satisfy legal or financial obligations. Generated class materials may be cached to improve performance and reduce repeat processing. If paid features are introduced later, purchase verification and security logs may be retained longer where required for fraud prevention, accounting, tax, or legal compliance.
6. Your choices and rights
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information.
- You may uninstall the app at any time to remove locally stored preferences and cached files on your device.
- You can review the data deletion process on the Data deletion page.
- If paid features are introduced later, cancellation and refund processes would generally be handled by the store where the purchase was made.
